Grit's Serendipity

Serendipity -
a lucky coincidence or the gift of finding something you weren't looking for.

How fitting, because that's exactly how my hexagon quilt came about.
I wanted a new exciting project that would enchant me just as much as
"La Passion" did back then, and yet I didn't have the beautiful quilt in mind at the beginning that is now lying finished in front of me.
And so, after a short period of reflection, it was clear that it should be called "Grit's Serendipity".

Grit's Serendipity consists of approx. 11,800 hexagons with an edge length of
of 1/2 inch.
It has a size of approx. 84 x 84 Inch.

The quilt is sewn by hand and consists of 21 different fabrics (colors), which are wonderfully harmoniously arranged.
